Key Programmes
Chinese New Year Celebration
In Clementi Primary, Chinese New Year celebration is a vibrant and joyous
event that brings the entire community together. The programme features
a variety of exciting activities, including traditional lion and dragon
dances, cultural performances by pupils, and interactive workshops on Chinese
arts and crafts. Pupils also participate in a festive parade and showcasing
their colourful costumes. The celebration is a wonderful opportunity for
pupils to learn about and appreciate Chinese culture, while fostering a
sense of unity and school spirit.
Mother Tongue Language (MTL) Fortnight & Language and Cultural Camp
MTL Fortnight & Language and Cultural Camp is an initiative from MOE
for Mother Tongue Languages since 2011. It aims to provide a dynamic and
immersive experience designed to celebrate and enhance pupils’ proficiency
in their Mother Tongue Languages. Over two weeks, pupils engage in a variety
of enriching activities, including storytelling sessions, language games,
and cultural performances. The cultural camp offers hands-on workshops
where pupils can explore traditional crafts and cuisine from different
cultures. This programme not only strengthens language skills but also
deepens pupils’ appreciation for their cultural heritage, fostering a sense
of pride and belonging.
Mother Tongue Support Program (MTSP) for Primary 3 (P3) and Primary 4 (P4)
MTSP caters to P3 and P4 pupils who needs extra support, through innovative
pedagogies and engaging learning resources. MTSP aims to motivate low progress
learners and to further assist them in the learning of Mother Tongue Language.
