Values In Action (VIA)
Through our VIA programmes, all Clementians are given opportunities to become concerned citizens and active contributors. P1 to P6 VIA projects are based on the 6 domains (Self, Family, School, Community, Nation and the World) and themes, thus providing pupils with authentic contexts in which to serve others. Clementians not only serve the community, but they also learn to identify with the needs of the community and reflect on their own experience in working with the community.
Fund-raising at the 2014 Math and Science Carnival
Primary Six pupils thought of creative ways to raise funds for the National Kidney Foundation and Society of the Physically Disabled (SPD)during the school’s Math and Science Carnival.
As part of the civic-literacy and social-enterprise project under the ALPHA (Accelerated Learning Programme for the High Ability), a P5 class tapped on this novel and eco-friendly idea to initiate a meaningful fundraising project for the Society of the Physically Disabled (SPD).
‘Do It Right’ Project
P4 and P5 Prefects put together a series of pre-assembly talks and an Assembly Talk to encourage pupils to demonstrate prosocial behaviour in the school as well as to spread the message of Kindness. The P4 Prefects used Ipads to catch pupils doing acts of kindness and graciousness while the P5 prefects led the school population to create a Kindness Tree. These two projects have the support of the Singapore Kindness Movement.
